On today’s DiabetesPowerShow, Charlie, Lori, and Chris welcome Dr. Travis Stork.
In 2016, Dr. Travis Stork, ER physician and host of the Emmy
Award-winning show The Doctors, joined a nationwide movement – For
Your SweetHeart™: Where Diabetes and Heart Disease Meet – to raise
awareness of the link between type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
The initiative seeks to encourage those with type 2 diabetes to
know their risk and speak to their healthcare provider, for the

As a grandchild of someone who was directly impacted by type 2 diabetes, Dr. Stork shares his personal connection to type 2 diabetes – his grandfather’s story – and why this campaign is close to his heart.

are unaware of their increased risk for heart disease and related
life-threatening events, such as heart attack, stroke or even
